Area Leader

 

 

ROLE SUMMARY

 

The Area Leader is responsible for delivering business growth and operational strategy through training and development of studio leaders. An Area Leader’s duties include a focus on revenue growth, leadership development, best in class studio and yoga experience and streamlined communication. The Area Leader is the primary resource for studio operations and employee management for Studio leaders and uses the Area Leader Success Criteria to guide their management practices.

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

 

Revenue Growth and Profitability

 

– Responsible for continued revenue growth and profitability of Geographical Area

 

– Monitor income and expenses of studios in Geographical Area to ensure savings through cost management Recognize and impact areas of growth in yoga, retail and programming

 

– Integrate CorePower Yoga company goals, initiatives and relevant strategic plan objectives set by Regional Director into team’s goals and expectations

 

 

Communication

 

– Communicate regularly with Regional Director on new developments and regional operations

 

– Perform as a CorePower Yoga Ambassador both inside and outside of the studio. Promote understanding and enthusiasm about yoga in the community

 

– Provide solution-oriented feedback to Studio Support Center and Regional Director which would enhance the client experience and overall strategy of the company

 

– Sustain a high level of communication with employees through productive individual dialogue. Complete regularly scheduled meetings, trainings, and feedback sessions to facilitate productive communication and promote an environment of teamwork

 

 

Team Development

 

– Develop a talented Studio Management team to include recruiting, hiring and training new managers, continually strengthening abilities and providing a challenging and rewarding environment

 

– Provide support to Studio Manager in their recruitment, selection and review of studio staff and instructors

 

– Supervise, review and coach management team to develop a high level of job effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction.  Deliver constructive feedback, growth plans, and disciplinary action in a timely manner

 

– Advise and assist in career-path/succession planning for geographical area

 

– Conduct Performance Reviews for studio management team

 

 

Yoga Practice Development and Instruction

 

– Continue to develop Area Leader’s own yoga practice and level of knowledge. Seeks a deeper understanding of the value of the yogi lifestyle to connect with their community: Studio Managers, Instructors, peers, students, and other employees

 

– Oversees and coaches to consistency and quality in the yoga classroom for Geographic Area

 

 

Program Support

 

– Lead the sales and promotion of Programs for designated area.  Is directly responsible for the revenue targets for each program offered on-site

 

– Oversees and coaches to consistency and quality in all teacher training programs led in Geographic Area

 

 

Client Relationship Development

 

– Exemplify excellent customer care and assume leadership role in providing superior customer service

 

– Manage activities that ensure the physical studio space meets the high CorePower Yoga® standards of excellence.  Monitor studio maintenance to ensure continuity in the highest level of cleanliness, environment and functionality of all studio space

 

– Maintain a high level of customer visibility through personal interaction with clients and by providing appropriate feedback opportunities for clients

 

 

Administrative

 

– Assist in preparing revenue plans and forecasts

 

– Develop an understanding of key financial and statistical reporting to draw meaningful conclusions in order to provide feedback and strategize sustainable growth for the business

 

– Manage the risk associated with operating a local business.  Remain mindful of activities and operations of the business, and seek ways to minimize harm to clients, employees, and company assets

 

– Remain respectful of, and at all times compliant with, company rules, policies and procedures and management direction

 

 

EDUCATION, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

 

– Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one year service in a CPY Management role required

 

– Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel and Word required

 

– Must be able to travel 100% of the time with regularly scheduled visits and support in studios

 

– Completion of a Yoga Alliance 200 hour teacher training program required

 

– Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can prioritize while working under multiple deadlines

 

– Proven self-starter with ability to take on new projects with enthusiasm

 

– Excellent written and oral communication skills
