The role of CFO is a key position in a fast-growing company with offices in central Munich. Freeletics has a startup atmosphere within a successful, highly motivated, dynamic and international team and maintains an open corporate culture with flat hierarchies. After having worked bootstrapped for 5 years the first investor round has fueled the engine for massive growth.The right professional must have experience with investor rounds, ideally from mature start-up or ideally in rapidly growing start-ups and will play a pivotal part in the continued growth process both internally and externally. The challenge of this role is to implement the required strategic orientation in the sense of the defined corporate strategy, but with the hands-on mentality required in this start-up environment.
The CFO must be an experienced professional with an excellent track record of continuous progression in finance & business roles of increasing responsibility. We are looking for a strong strategic manager, driving commercial results by empowering team members to deliver exceptional results. He or she is a natural leader, versatile, with out-of-the-box thinking capabilities able to see the “big picture” and drive the business to the next level.
The position offers a lot of creative freedom and demands creativity and a high degree of responsibility. It is possible to co-design the successful development of the company, which should also be reflected in the profiles of the candidates.

Your responsibilities

  • Strong contact and relationship building with existing investors (e.g. venture capitalists, private investors) and develop them to secure their stake, as well as attract new external investors.
  • Build a professional and efficient finance department by implementing solid, scalable structures, processes and IT tools.
  • Optimization and automation of processes and data structures in the finance area for the further global growth.
  • Set up and develop state of the art reporting: Monthly actuals and forecast reporting preparation that can be distributed to the Executive Board.
  • Drive establishment of vision for pricing & advanced analytics as pricing product owner.
  • Manage business case for pricing program including performance tracking.
  • Establish and implement currency mapping tables in collaboration with markets.
  • Create regular reports / KPIs and presentations for various stakeholders for sales and corporate management.
  • Experiences with Business Modeling and business valuation/M&A.
  • Lead the team and establish growth environment for team members

Your profile

  • Degree in business administration, majoring in finance, controlling or organization.
  • Several years’ experience in a senior financial management position with demonstrated leadership skills, ideally in a start-up or in a fast-growing company.
  • Demonstrated excellence in leading a finance area including budgeting, forecasting, profitability measurement, controls and reporting.
  • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within strict timeframes as well as simultaneously managing multiple projects.
  • Experience working with upper management in achieving company strategic plans and goals·   Strategic visionary with the ability to plan for excellence.
  • Excellent presentation preparation and presentation skills.
  • High competence in the development and implementation of efficient processes and structures.
  • Knowledge of common rules and legal issues in the financial area and excellent experience in controlling.
  • Great commitment, structured and performance-oriented work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including experience with state of the art reporting systems.
  • Profound experience in building and leading teams even in critical / sensitive company phases.
  • Entrepreneurial personality with winning and confident appearance.
  • Fluent in German and English.
