POSITION SUMMARY

The Fitness Consultant is responsible for connecting with potential gym members to promote and sell gym memberships and other gym services, including personal training, physical therapy, and CrossFit. The ideal candidate must be a highly personable and dynamic individual who can connect well with people and effectively articulate the benefits of fitness.

It’s crucial that the fitness consultant can represent and sell the ‘Balance Brand’: we’re looking for authentic, fun, and dependable team members who want to learn, develop their skills, and ultimately grow with us.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Consistently sell gym memberships through leads provided by Balance Gym and through one’s own outreach and efforts
Effectively represent the Balance culture and brand
Continually follow up with leads provided by the Company or through one’s own internal network using proper procedures
Maintain accurate records using Balance Gym sales systems and software
Follow up diligently and appropriately on all prospects
Conduct gym tours and knowledgeably explain all equipment, classes, and programs
Learn the ins and outs of Balance Gym history and programs and educate others about Balance Gym
Make telephone calls and handle telephone inquires
Establish and maintain referral programs
Be a fitness enthusiast who conveys the importance of gym membership and fitness as part of a healthy lifestyle
Work closely and effectively with a team
Connect with corporate clients and develop corporate leads

QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to learn and utilize computers and InTouch and MotionSoft software
A comprehensive understanding of the fitness industry
Sales experience in the fitness industry preferred
