Sr. Community Manager at Freeletics – Munich, Germany

As a Senior Community Manager you work closely with our users – ensuring they stay connected, even when they are offline. This isn’t an easy road. Our athletes need motivation and a shoulder to lean on throughout this tough journey. You organize events that strengthen our community and work closely with our global ambassador network.

Your responsibilities

  • Drive the development of a holistic community management strategy and guidelines with the teamlead to further drive community growth and engagement.
  • Actively manage and coordinate the execution of the key city strategy and go to market plans to further drive global community growth in new markets and segments.
  • Drive the development of a community engagement plan to drive brand awareness and authority within the Freeletics community.
  • Increase overall community engagement by planning and executing physical community events as well as digital activations.
  • With the teamlead, drive the development of the community ambassador program and become the trusted point of contact for all ambassadors related communication.
  • Develop and create reports on community management success for broader brand marketing team to further optimize community growth and engagement.
  • Manage the monitoring and moderation of daily community conversation and engagement based on defined tone of voice.
  • Support the development of tools and activations for brand loyalty within communities.
  • Support the definition of a dedicated digital community strategy to further increase engagement within own product.
  • Coordinate the development of digital in app features based on community management needs and community ideas.

Your profile

  • 5+ years experience in relevant domains, experience in the digital fitness industry is a plus.
  • Proven ability to create short-, mid- and long-term global community management strategy .
  • Ability and expertise in defining a digital community strategy to further drive community engagement in product.
  • Knowledge on how to increase community engagement within a product.
  • Experience in scaling community ambassador programs and managing development on day-to-day basis.
  • Knowledge in building new communities in new markets (physical and digital communities).
  • Knowledge in defining activations within new and existing communities that drives brand loyalty.
  • Proven skills in using community management platforms and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of global community management especially in the US.
  • Fitness, Sport and Lifestyle industry know how on community management.
  • Experience in engaging communities digitally and physically.
  • Experience in actively implementing community management tools and cleaning up platforms.
  • Ability to execute community management strategies.
  • Ability to support our Head of Brand Marketing & Teamlead on all decisions and back them towards peers and subordinates.
  • Ability to understand ad-hoc changes in a working environment and operate accordingly to the overall company goals.
  • Fluent in English with excellent oral and written communication skills, other languages (especially German & Spanish) are a plus.
