As the Teamlead Sports & Entertainment Management , you will help us increase the global awareness of Freeletics through strategic partnerships with models, athletes and other organizations within the global fitness market. You will be responsible for building a small team, spearheading all of our global cooperation efforts, closely monitoring trends and (social) media landscapes and building relationships with relevant sports & entertainment stakeholders.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership in sports & entertainment marketing to lead recruitment and search for cooperations and partnerships in this area.
  • Develop and manage a global sports & entertainment platform to achieve marketing and revenue growth goals.
  • Build strong partnerships within the sports & entertainment industry to ensure a superhero landing of Freeletics in new markets and strengthen presence in existing ones.
  • Work with sports & entertainment assets and their agents/agencies to create engaging, compelling marketing campaigns to grow Freeletics brand awareness and market share.
  • Capitalize on core connections of our investors to sports & entertainment assets to drive ownership of the digital fitness lifestyle space in a B2C setting.
  • Proactively develop and implement sponsorship/partnership recruiting, management and evaluation/reporting processes to increase impact and constantly optimize activities.

Your profile

  • 8+ years of experience in sponsorship and/or talent management with a strong focus on delivering projects with small teams or without teams on world-class level.
  • Background working at a senior level within a talent agency or in sponsorship management role.
  • Strong knowledge of the sports & entertainment industry.
  • Experience in dealing with top tier athletes, celebrities and event organizers.
  • Experience working in a sport or entertainment-based organization a plus.
  • Ability to measure value of cooperations to assure cost efficiency and long term profitability.
  • Strong knowledge of the industry’s financial set-up and alternative revenue stream options.
  • Ability to think in start-up perspectives and appropriate deal-making, e.g. revenue-share, participation, affiliate, commission based models.
  • Ability to come up with holistic concepts and design cooperations with high user impact and close product alignment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain influential relationships, especially within the sports and entertainment industry.
  • Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills, other languages are a plus.
