The data science, analytics, engineering and training experience team at Freeletics builds capabilities around improving our coach machine learning algorithms, predictive analytics, discovering data sources and integrating new information into our established cloud-based data warehouse, and being the force towards data driven decision making process
In your role as a technical project manager within the data team, you will work closely with a team of data scientists, engineers and analysts as well as training experience managers and sport scientists. In addition, you will collaborate across the organisation with engineering and other business stakeholders to collaborate on executing special projects. The core objective of your role is to help the team deliver their internal projects. You are expected to drive process execution,  provide inputs to projects roadmap, align with stakeholders on projects update, reports progress and take a leadership role in communicating proactively and solving problems in order to ensure a smooth execution to our internal projects

Your responsibilities

  • Work closely and collaborate with the data teams to scope, align and develop data solutions
  • Help creating functional specifications, project / release plans, and roadmaps
  • Align and communicate with project stakeholders about project status and follow ups
  • Schedule and lead projects kick off meetings
  • Support in key team-, organisation-, and company-wide initiatives and/or projects
  • Create JIRA tickets and ensure that the requirements are clear to be delivered
  • Ensure proper documentation of project activities to ensure visibility across all stakeholders
  • Adapt to changing work structure and team set up as we scale

Your profile

  • You worked as an agile project manager for at least 2 years
  • You have good understanding of agile project management practices
  • You are a strong planner and a structured thinker
  • You have a strong communication skills and able to communicate with data scientists, analysts, engineers
  • You possess a good base of technical foundation to be able to communicate on engineering topics (you don’t have to be an engineer to be successful on this job)
  • You have a good understanding of marketing and have a business acumen to be able to communicate with business stakeholders
  • You are a good analytical thinker
  • You are hungry to learn and resourceful
  • You are able to solve problems and resolute conflicts
  • You are able to establish solid relationships with stakeholders either internal or externals
  • You are organised and able to dig into details to understand the big picture
